Gecko_UK: i'm not wrong if i say the main problme is the FairPlayKeyData, and just discovered the reason why it's not computed, simply because the FairPlayCertChain was expired, 2 month ago & before apple patch doulCi server , this certchain work even expired when we accept warning alert in activation process, okay i'll solve this problem soon & server will be 100/100 fonctional

@m-fodil sure it's not tricky to inject your own own text or popup on activation screen..but how will you crash setup.app?..A proper crash will give you ability to execute own code from userland, very difficult these days- even iOS 5 it was not easy.. otherwise you just hide temporarily, it's not useful and comes with other problems. Of course you cannot jailbreak after on unactivated device simply as you wrote. if you have useful mobilesafari crash you can make six figures no problem selling your exploit , anyway you are wasting your time chasing the fairplay stuff..as you said before the method used to bypass is not important; so why not search for non-server based solution while everyone is fruitlessly copying and pasting leaked tidbits of code

@griff26 About the lockdown and modem activation, you can bring it online only in select cases, like when you have cached data. Anyone who claim they can give cell service to any icloud locked handset without actually disabling FMiP lock server side will only ever show limited demo and give excuses, they know not possible to do on all devices-- but they can get some extra twitter followers and ad earnings for claiming otherwise

in simple word setup.app can be easily crashed & mobilesafari crash can't be used to escape FMI

any webkit bugs which worked against mobilesafari will work for purplebuddy too. But you are right, nobody is bypassing
FMiP lock like that, or they are a genius if they can

although this crash report not symbolicated, no stack trace. generally SIGABRT exception is not useful at all, to research
userland crash better to attach to gdb process on a jb device but it's almost a dead end chasing that approach nowadays

this is how i can crash setup , sometimes iDevice not respond to the crash, need retrying 5 or 6 times, sometimes when crashing Device disconnected from wifi, boot loop, return to activation screen...but the essential thing is that method work
