Dont wana sound too obvious but is the time correct when you insert the sim. ? If not manually change the time and date. Have this problem when replacing screens on 4s.

Did you ever solve the problem? I have a customer with exactly the same problem. Seemed like a software issue to me, since the phone goes directly to 'searching...', wether there's a sim present or not. I'm aware of the IOS 6 and up bug with the time/date setting when the battery has been removed, obiously this is the first thing I checked. Also resetting network settings doesn't do anything. Anybody has any clue?

Amko, As you can see if you read my post, we are not talking about that, every technician is aware of that 'bug'.

Dear Zizoutarik, you also obviously have not read the previous messages. If you do not have an answer to the problem, please refrain from answering, so other people that might know the solution might answer.
