I have a hot air gun and soldering iron, I should give it a try, if it won't work I will throw it to the trash bin.

If you hot gun does not a temperature regulator you most probably just cook the motherboard

johny I think you can start with infrared station, check here on forum, maybe someone will sold a used one for a good price.

If you are beginner you need more precise device, choose quality soldering stration, infrared station are for pro users.
