try another pc. re install itunes software. try another usb port. Thats on of the solutions

its hardware problem check camera ic or camera flash light ic maybe short.

during update my 5s not enter recovery mode (should show data cable on screen)
And last blue screen come and give error9

try 4 diffirent pc same.

I have same problem on my iPhone 5, error 9 when update or restore.
I open my iPhone and when iPhone feriviying firmware, I touch baseband IC very hot , logo appeared on screen but suddenly off.
On PC pop up error 9 .
I have order IC baseband from China market and after replace it, I will inform my problem progress.

i'm Facing Same Problem
IPhone 5 Unknown Error 9 While Trying to do Restore With Itune
i try in recovery Mode and error 9
i try in DFU Mode Error 9
I change USB Cable Error 9
I Update itune Error 9
i remove full itune and all apple software from PC install Again and after than error 9
i Change PC Error 9
i Try On Window xp & Window 7 and Window 8 Error 9
I open the Phone Remove Battery for 10-15 minutes and put again and try again in DFU Mode so Error 9

after i changed battery restore successfull .now phone is working ..

For ERROR 9 try to change the chargin dock. I have tried in 2 iphone 5 and it work fine. Probably is other component for you, but you can try

Brother that One not for Apple Devices for SAMSUNG if im not Mistaken . . .
