I do not know if there are ways to do it on Windows, as I do not use Windows and do not have a Windows computer. On the Mac, open up GarageBand. Select "iPhone Ringtone" as the project type, and click "Choose." Enter the name of your ringtone and the other parameters it asks you to enter, or just keep them as the defaults. Finally, press "Create." The GarageBand window will open. The first thing you might want to do is to delete the default track, which just has a sample ringtone. You can paste in an MP3, or the song of your choice. What I usually do is to find the sound file on my computer in Finder, select it and copy, then in the GarageBand window select paste. The song will be imported. YOu can also drag and drop the file. Now in the LCD section, it might be easier to select "time" as the mode, so that you can see the length of your ringtone. For me, it was selected by default, but if not, then select that mode in the LCD section. You will also want to select "cycle region." Again for me it was already selected. This will give you a bar that distinguishes the part of your track that will become the ringtone. Drag it to the proper area, extend it to the length you like (no more than 40 seconds), and hit "play" to listen to the result. Make any adjustments. Once you are happy, then go to Share -> Send Ringtone to iTunes. It will convert it to a .m4r file and will put it in your iTunes library. Sync your iPhone, and you will find your ringtone on your iPhone, which you can now select. |

Member: 2797527 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | There are lots of online ringtone maker and ringtone cutter developed for us to make and create ringtones. For me, to guarantee high original quality, VidiKit is recommended. It cuts and makes ringtones accurately, losslessly and fast. I can save my ringtone to MP3, M4B, M4R and more for any compatible-device, like iPhone, Android. |
