Hi First Of All Connect The USB to The iPod & Then Follow These Steps

1. PRESS THE MENU AND MIDDLE BUTTON YOUR IPOD THEN WILL RESTART & YOU WILL SEE THE APPLE LOGO

2. WHEN YOU SEE THE APPLE LOGO RELEASE THE BUTTONS AND THEN PRESS THE MIDDLE AND PLAY BUTTON.

3. YOU WILL THEN BE IN RECOVERY MODE, THE IPOD WILL DISPLAY - "OK TO DISCONNECT"
(IF ITS NOT IN RECOVERY MODE THEN REPEAT STEPS 1 & 2)

4. GO TO ITUNES & RESTORE WITH LATEST FIRMWARE

Recovery Mode & Disk Mode Are Similar The Only Difference Is That Disk Mode Only Happens In iPods & Recovery Mode Only Happen In iPhones & iTouch. If Your iPod Is Still Not Detected Then Connect Your iPod Again & Go To Device Manager In My Computer & Find Your iPod & Uninstall All The Drivers. After That Connect Your iPod Again & See If It Gets Detected, If It Doesn't Then Reinstall The Latest iTunes & Try Again

If After You Reinstall iTunes & Get The Same Problem Then Try To Format Your iPod In My Computer, If Not Then Try To Do It On A Different Computer
