put your iphone in DFU mode not recovery mode ( here is link for video how to put in DFU mode) YouTube - How To: Enter DFU Mode on an iPhone/iPod Touch
close the itune then
open ih8snow and select your device in ih8snow, in a few second you will get white screen don’t worry it’s normal
now open itune it will say your phone is in recovery mode, now press shift + restore so you can select your (iPhone2,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw) file
that’s it you wiil not get any error
if you get error then try again

with same step you can even downgrade from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 but your modem version will not be same 05.12.01

how 2 restore custom firmware?i got 1600 error.my phone 3gs 3.1.2 and base 5.11.and about ih8snow there is no option 4 3gs,how 2 doit with this software?

Sorry bro, what u say is wrong because iREB bypass any errors while restoring to a custom IPSW in iTunes only for: iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, and iPod Touch 1G. And not for Iphone 3G(S)

Start up logo problem can be solved via restoring with i-tunes to the latest version.But afterwards if iphone won't support your carriers then you have to wait
