DEV-team have finally released redsnow without bugs it still in beta but it's

better than first

Beta O'Clock
Today at exactly 2 minutes past Beta O’Clock we are releasing a beta version of redsn0w. The release hopes to simplify the jailbreaking of your iPod touch 2G.
redsn0w is currently in beta as it relies on the user running it from the command line, but this new redsn0w functionality is being added into our GUI applications.

for more details

-turn off the Ipod
-open redsn0w.exe
-follow the instructions to Enter DFU mode
-then let it finish it's work
-Finally ur IPod touch 2g is jailbroken

i have downloaded redsnow 1.0, then i follow the tutorial given here. but every time i open redsnow, it closes a few seconds after. the computer is running in windows xp sp2.

use another pc this happens on bad system

same problem..

i tried this to another computer..but the same problem occured. when i opened redsnow.exe, it automatically closed. i think there is something wrong with redsnow, isn't it?
