Member: 1086976 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | HELP!! How do you upgrade iphone OS to 3.0 when iTunes only allows 3.1? I currently have 2 iphones and they are both problematic. 1. Tried using redsn0w 0.72 to unlock + jailbreak. Got stuck when it says "waiting for reboot" and now it wouldn't come out of recovery mode! When plugged into iTunes, iTunes only gave the option when restore is to restore then update to the lastest firmware which is 3.1 as we all know. Therefore, help is needed!!!! 2. Had a phone which had bootloader of 5.9 and when tried unlocking it few months ago it was not successful and installed ultrasn0w, didn't know how to uninstall it therefore gave up and when I came back to it when Fuzzyband managed to upgrade to 4.x I realize I would need to upgrade my firmware to 3.0 in order to be compatible with the ultrasn0w unlock. Therefore, help is needed to know HOW DO YOU ACTUALLY UPGRADE the iphone firmware to 3.0; oh btw I do have a copy of the restore version of 3.0 firmware. |

Member: 810694 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 30 | r u directly clicking restore button without pressing shift for restoring to OS 3.0 u have to download it but not via itunes after downloading the OS 3.0 connect iphone via in DFU mode then press shift button and click on restore then navigate to the downloaded OS |

Search for ISPW for 3G with OS 3.0 (Iphone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore) Download it to your PC. Create a desktop folder name it (Redsnow) and save redsnow and the downloaded ISPW in same folder. Open Itunes, connect your Iphone 3G, Itunes will show Vers 3.1 available and recommended for upgrade. (Dont worry with the msg) Hold down Shift on your PC and click restore (if you want to fully restore ur Iphone) or click Upgrade (if you just want to upgrade) After this procces is completed, you may Jailbrake and unlock. Good luck! | |

Member: 999836 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | I restored to 3.1 and now when i try to jailbreak it always stay in reboot mode only.I have tried all th options.Our friends asking restore to 3.0 I trying to do that it is not allowing me.It always upgrading to 3.1 only. |

Member: 506110 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Let your iphone restore to 3.1. Then download 3.0 ipsw (do google search for ispw). Download redsnow. Run the programme. When redsnow asks for ipsw brows to your 3.0 ipsw and use this. Follow the instructions on rednow to jailbreak. Once jailbroken go into cydia and add rep http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com. Once repo added search for ultrasn0w in cydia and install. Walla you are jailbroken and unlocked on 3.0.1. Hope this helps |
