Be sure that your iphone is safe to flash baseband.

I've tried updating the baseband of a 3GS after jailbreaking it with redsn0w but there's always an error. So try this procedure instead -- worked for me.

Restore in iTunes to 6.1.6
Open redsn0w, select iOS 6.0
Jailbreak and check Install iPad baseband only -- wait til it finishes then close redsn0w
Open redsn0w again, select iOS 6.0
Jailbreak and check downgrade iPad baseband only (with 6.15 I get no service) -- wait til it finishes then close redsn0w
Open redsn0w again, select iOS 6.0
Jailbreak and check Install Cydia only -- wait til it finishes then close redsn0w
If errors occur with redsn0w, try restarting your PC.
After Jailbreak, connect to WiFi, Open Cydia, Go to changes then upgrade all.
After upgrade re-open cydia and search for p0sispwn to untether.
Search for ulrasn0w and restart your iPhone.
