Iphone Motherboard damage--part that holds tab (sticker 3) - GSM-Forum

I was changing the screen on a 16GB Iphone 3G and used a suction cup to pull off the old screen. The screen popped off, but a part on the motherboard (where the tab slides in and locks down--sticker 3) became loose. I tried to glue it back in place and it ended up coming off completely from the motherboard. I'm guessing this can't be replaced and I would need a whole new motherboard. Any ideas??? Basically the home button and earpiece are non-functional at this time.
