Iphone 2G problem with power button in standby.... - GSM-Forum

hi mates

have this iphone 2G which could not get it into DFU mode but thanks to a thread by GSMman managed to get it activated and everything works 100% while the screen is on. One problem remains. When it goes in standby then the only way to reuse it is by connecting it to a computer and then it works perfectly. Pressing power button or home button when it is in standby has no effect. Once the screen is on the power button and the home button work ok too. Tried to change the power button (complete back) from a 100% working iphone 2G but still the same.

Its a hardware problem .. you shoud check the mother board

i realized that

but wish some help at what to look as have no schema for it at all. If only it was as user friendly as the 3G to work on.
