i just jailbroke my iphone 3g but cydia wont load. it says "Sub-process/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)" i don't know what to do ..i tried to use icy but it won't work either .. it says : cannot be installed (dpkg) error 2"
what does it mean and what whould i do

These are instructions on how to unlock the iPhone 3G for use with any GSM cellphone carrier using UltraSn0w.

Before you can follow these instructions you must have a jailbroken iPhone and you must be on the 04.26.08 baseband(modem firmware). This means that you must be running the 3.0 firmware and have used PwnageTool or RedSn0w to jailbreak.

To find your firmware and modem firmware(baseband) versions you can follow this tutorial. If you are not on baseband version 04.26.08 then you need to follow one of these tutorials before unlocking:Mac, Windows

What a day.

Works like charme with my girlfriends phone. With iphone 3G - O2 Germany Sim and 3G.

But mine keeps loosing the 3G Signal. (Logging in with full signal for 10 secs and then loosing 3G Sign and all bars.) Maybe its because my O2 UMTS Sim is pretty old?

I've just ordered a new one. But maybe someone has an idea.

Just reseted my sims card setting to default with my N95. Now everything works perfect. DEV Team simply rocks. Goodbye Rebel Sim

Seems to work fine with PIN locked cards and USIM cards where yellowsn0w had issues ;-)
