hello

i have here an iphone 3g that has no backlight. the touchscreen works good and the screen works fine too... but no backlight!

i could this be and how can i fix it?

just click on setting in setting there some option bright ness and blacklight will come back

there an option in settings to re-enable it, once done should work.or turn up brightness

it is not problem of settings,the backlight can't be turned off by settings.
even on minimum brightness.

LCD work fine but i have two pieces but no display

well... i opened the phone... disconnect and connect again the lcd...
closed the phone... and it was bad contact somewhere...
now works fine!
