Noob needs help with jailbreak/unlock 3g

I have an iphone 3g with firmware 4.2.1 and baseband 05.15.04.
When I try to use redsn0w to jailbreak it shuts down when it's saying "fetching baseband"..

Anybody know what this problem is or what I am doing wrong?
Please and thanks.

Make sure to let some time elapse and be patient as the install completes.

As a troubleshooting measure, try running the flasher in compatibility mode/windows xp - under properties/preferences.
