You have a corrupted baseband. It must be reflashed. Custom firmwares do not have bb so won't fix your problem. if complete restore with bb doesn't fix, you have bad bb chip, check board for resin, if ok, try reflow and then restore, if still no good, phone is irreparable.

u need to change baseband chip. for this purpose u need special past to remove baseband chip and reassembled.

the problem is with basband chip. the firmware there is damaged, so we have to flash this baseband to original firmware that is impossible at the moment.
i am also searching the solution like erasing the baseband and then flashing with itunes.

Actually as my experience I find way to fix 3g upgrade 4.2.1 restore using latest Itunes. As you can see something error popup on itunes but don't worry just ignore that popup and proceed to latest sn0breeze and create sn0wbreeze ipsw (first select the correct ios 4.2.1 hit next. 2nd is to select expert mode and click the (box hacktivate) and change the number you can see at below change to 2000 and next and ignore the next step just hit next and hit build. be patient just wait till the process is finish. After that follow the screen instruction to put in DFU mode. Cloce the sn0wbreeze and you can strat restoring using itunes hold the shift and click restore and target your build ipsw you can see at your desktop and wait until process is done.

3gs 8gb is hard to diagnose the problem cause yesterday I have *******r 2 iphone 3gs 8gb have password. I research for 2 days and i found something bad for 3gs 8gb. It's hard to restore or update in 6.1.3 always getting error -1. I try to jailbreak i choose 6.0 it's work but the bluetooth/wifi/and modem firmware is missing. I try to install bb and downgrade bb but same problem and auto restart and I'm stuck. I see other site's 3gs 8gb have toshiba chip inside that cause of error.
Any idea to fix this problem? thanks and advance
