u should check first from dfu mode with snow breeze,,
its a old boot room or new,,
before upgrading

if the device came with that problem before restore .. maybe it's HW related ..
so, to be sure .. restore the device then jailbreak if you need to unlock it ..
and make sure this time to choose NEW BOOTROM in redsn0w.

The easiest thing would be, download ios 4.1 and install it on your device recalls the shift key down you give the button to restore to locate the firmware you just downloaded, then let restored completely, will give an error 1010 if I remember correctly and then use tiny umbrella to get it out of recovery mode and the restoration continues, then active with the original chip and mind later upgrade to the latest version without problems, I hope to help you, a greeting.
