IMEI Repair for Iphone 2G with 2.2 working !!

IMEI Change is Illegal in some countries so check law of ur Country !

Just for Educational use ...

- You need two version of pwnage custom firmware (2.2) which one should have capable of bootneuter and ofcourse able to unlock baseband as well. The other is clear firmware which has no neuter and also no update baseband checked.

- First item you should do is restore you iphone with 2.2 custom firmware and neutered and unlocked and also it should be in 3.9BL!!!! it is very importand

- When you finish, you should find an another computer with 7.6.2 itunes version and ziphone 3.0 and originial 1.1.4 firmware

- Then switch your iphone to DFU mode by using 7.6.2 itunes version computer

- Then restore you phone to 1.1.4 original FW

- Then you have one error after finishing restore, ignore it and restart computer and iphone (by pressing home and power button) then connect them again. Then use ziphone 3.0 to ONLY activate it!!!

- then use ziphone3.0 to change imei

- after finished, it is good to restore original 1.1.4 FW again.

- when you check activation screen you will see that imei is faked one.

- then back to new computer with 8.0 itunes.

- put to iphone first recovery mode to restore your custom 2.2 firmware which has no neuter, no baseband update, no uprage BL.. if recover mode does not work switch it to DFU mode. then try again.

Work 100%

phone status will be;

- iphone 2G
- firmware 2.2
- Fake imei
- modem firmware 04.04.05_G

How do you set the bootloader to 3.9? Because after i used the custom firmware from pwnage, it automatically set the bootloader to 4.5.

can someone help me how to get the bootneuter to change to 3.9bl? It automatically set to 4.6 and I can't set it back because everytime i open up bootneuter, it freezes.

Or does anyone has the exact custom firmware that set it to 3.9bl automatically?

Follow all the steps .

restore you phone to 1.1.4 original FW

- Then you have one error after finishing restore, ignore it and restart computer and iphone (by pressing home and power button) then connect them again. Then use ziphone 3.0 to ONLY activate it!!!

- then use ziphone3.0 to change imei & download bootloader to 3.9.

- when you check activation screen you will see that imei is faked one.

- then back to new computer with 8.0 itunes.

- put to iphone first recovery mode to via winpwn and use the provided custom firmware and it will be ok .

all this is an excellent work buenisimo for those with their iphone with version 1.1.4 and could not install
any application as well though it was compatible with some network operators fail

huh. .can't i just hold the home and power button to get to recovery mode instead of using winpwn?

Also, do you have any idea where to download bootloader and downgrade it to 3.9? I heard bootneuter is pretty good but for some reason the 2.1 version i downloaded off of cydia freezes after it finished determine the current setting then start to reboot after a few minutes. Also, i heard using Ziphone for downgrading to 3.9 is BAD because it does it pernimently ?

Also, can someone explain why bootloader 3.9 is need for this to work? But before you guys say anything, i tried googling it. LOl. People just said it's an older bootloader for older firmware. ...?

So i finally got it to work. If you can't use bootneuter in firmware 2.2 or it just automatically set/detect at 4.6, flash it down to 1.1.4 and activate/jailbreak to install "installer" on there. Use "installer" to download cydia. THen use cydia to download bootneuter v1.0. This will work. Use it to turn neuter on, 3.6, and baseband unlock on.

After this, you should be able to use ziphone to change into the fake imei. This process should take at least 2-3 minutes (2-3minutes at black screen with all the text scrolling). If it doesn't take 2-3 minutes, then your imei probably hasn't changed.

Go to "setting" -> general -> about and see if the imei shown is the fake imei. If not, then your imei hasn't changed!

After verifying that your imei has changed to the fake imei. Flash it to a different the latest custom firmware (make sure the firmware doesn't upgrade or change the bootloader).

Maybe someone can help me. I have managed to succesfully downgarde to 1.1.4, changed imei, returned back to original firmware, all good, but phone not unlocked so used quickpwn to unlock and then imei reverts back to original. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
