For iOS 5.1 , only a tethered jailbreak is available , check if you got some "good" saved blobs .

if you have blobs for 5.x try to downgrade the baseband from 6.15 to 5.xx and use resnow to jailbreak and ultrasn0w to unlock. actualy you only need redsn0w to jailbreak and install cydia, using wifi you install ultrasn0w to unlock your device.

Have you tried using the UltraSnow form the DEV Team !! Try giving it a shot i am sure you can jail break it using it !!
