process:
1- install custom IPSW 4.1
2- open itunes and make backup ( just to let Itunes creat Lib )
3- press shift with restore ( normal mode not DFU or other mode)
4- iphone with finish restore,, before the end of it 70% itunes will show message up near the install process line ( restore iphone firmware.. ) this is good news that baseband rewritten all componnet)

5- after finish restore and restard the iphone,, itunes can not aktive it.. i just plug the iphone out and restart it too time manual and then plug it,, and opps... all da with baseband ( firmware 05.16.05 ) wifi and other all okay.

well i didnt try to upgrade the bb to ibad,, as happy now can use it with original simcard which it will be unlocked from t-mobile for free Jan 2012

give try and dont forget the thanks buttom.

Can you explain more detailly.
first we restore with custom ipsw 3gs 4.1.
second, we create back up so that itunes will create lib file
third, press shift +restore ( restore to 5.0 custom?) [i dont understand this step]. Can you please confirm?

This is work with without SHSh blobs problem??

Phone connect after tiny um. it says no shsh fo detected device.

any solution please!

last one to restore normal way,, stock ipsw 1OS 5 and leave your phone normal mode.. ( not DFU, or Boot loop )

this repair done 100% on 3GS and still now working and already uupdated to ios 5 original, with out problem..

to whom wo break his baseband at update ipad baseband... if the erease done but the kernel didnt wrote could repair with this methode same who faced this issue exclude hardware problem.

I Have the same problem
Have Iphone 3gs 8gb(newboot) 4.3.5 5.16modem
When i flash 4.1 and baseband 06.15.00 i took blank imei,baseband,modem.
When i try to install 5.0 os i take an error(11) in normal mode.
When i update to 5os in dfu iphone flashed but i get error(-1) in the end.
Iphone is new.How can solve this problem?
Itunes 10.5.0.142

No,firmware is original from apple (iPhone2,1_5.0_9A334_Restore) with bbfw.
