Here are the details. With a lot of attention being lavished on the iPhone 8 and what it will look like when it is announced in September, it is sometimes easy to forget that there is another flagship device on the horizon, assuming everything we have heard or looked at to this point is accurate. That flagship is from Samsung, with the Galaxy Note 8 widely expected to be announced sooner rather than later. The Galaxy Note 8 has experienced its fair share of leaks of late, although perhaps not anywhere near iPhone 8 levels, but the latest does appear to be a solid one after one of Samsung’s own Twitter accounts tweeted an image that might just have given us a good look at the unannounced device. The tweet came courtesy of Samsung Exynos, in which it mentioned the features afforded by its Exynos 8895 System-on-a-Chip , the came part that powers the Galaxy S8 and is expected to beat at the heart of the Galaxy Note 8, too. As part of the tweet we saw an image which at first glance looks like the Galaxy S8, but upon closer inspection appears to be missing the hardware buttons on the right edge that the Galaxy S8 has, such as the power and volume buttons. Of course, it is possible that this is just a reference design used by Samsung for its high-end phones, but it does look suspiciously similar to another image which popped up as part of a different leak. Twitter user Ice Universe recently leaked an image showing what is claimed to be the Galaxy Note 8, and given that this is the same account that correctly leaked images of the Galaxy S8 ahead of its arrival earlier this year, we would not want to put any kind of wager on whether this is legitimate or not. Hopefully we will find out in due course! Thanks |
