Before you proceed, please confirm that this software upgrade to 1.53.502.11 ( 1.53.502.12 for pre-paid devices) is a newer version than what is currently loaded on your device. Installation Instructions

6.Status of the download can be checked in the Notifications pull down.

7.Once the download is complete, the user will be prompted to install from the Notifications pull down. Tap the System update to begin the upgrade process.

8.Tap OK to begin the update process to software version 1.53.502.11 (1.53.502.12 for pre-paid devices).

WARNING: During the upgrade process the device will reboot multiple times and show software upgrade screens. Do not remove the AC charger as this might stop the update and your device may be rendered inoperable!

9.Device will reboot and begin installation. Users will not be able to use their device during the installation process (approximately 10 minutes).

10.The system update is complete. Tap OK to continue.



How to Root HTC Desire 610:

  1. Download SuperSU.zip file (download it from here) and save the same on your computer – you can place the file on your desktop.
  2. Don’t unzip the downloaded file.
  3. Connect your smartphone with your computer via USB cord.
  4. Then, transfer the .zip file from desktop to your phone’s SD card.
  5. Finally, unplug the USB cord as the computer is no longer useful.
  6. Now, enter your Desire 610 into recovery mode.
  7. From recovery select “install zip from SD card” followed by “choose zip from SD card”.
  8. Pick the root package and flash the same.
  9. In the end, from main menu of recovery select “reboot system now”.
  10. Done.



Note: if after flashing the SuperSU file your device will get stuck in a boot loop, go back to recovery. From there this time select “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”. Then, go to main menu of recovery and pick “reboot system now”.
