does anyone know how to remove the goddamn AUTOLOCK from a n73 ?? - GSM-Forum

Hi, i have nokia n73 and i put on the Autolock feature to lock after 1 minute, i entered the default 12345 code and it was fine, then i thought i should change it incase someone used the default code.

I then changed it to 264687 in tools, security and lock code, i entered the default was prompted for the new code entered the new code and verified it and it said ok.

Then when the phone locked after 1 minute i tried the code and it did not work. i cant seem to unlock the damn thing now, i tried it several times over both the default and the 264687 and neither works.

Now ive turned the phone off and after the blue nokia logo i have the Lock Code screen. Please can anyone help me unlock my phone.

Just delete the application bro via Nokia PC Suite if you can, if not you have to flash your phone

hey thank you for you reply, but its not an application its the acutal nokia program, that comes pre-installed.

i did it from menu, tools, settings, security, lock code.

if i flash it will i lose everything on my phone?? and is there any way to backup my data, cause ive connected the phone via usb cable to my pc and it wont show up <it showed up previously when i added music> now it wont come up

Yes, you can make a backup via Nokia PC Suite

yes but my phone does not show up on MY COMPUTER and i cant connect to it either.

just go to the service shop(in case if u don't have any flasher box), & ask them to reset the security code, u will not lose any data which os important to u.
