How to update the 11.309.01.01.00 firmware on a Huawei E660A - GSM-Forum

This particular version of E660A firmware doesn't allow you to input the unlock code. It won't work on hyperterminal or dc-unlocker or Huawei Modem code writer.

Can someone please tell me where I can find a firmware that allows unlocking and how can I flash it on my card?

Many thanks in advance!

P.S. It seems that the 11.309.01.01.00 firmware is the only one that allows a E660A card to work in the WRT54G3G Linksys router. If someone can instruct me how to back-up it I can post it here for other pople to use when needed.

Can a mod please add a "?" mark at the end of the title? It's a bit misleading as it is.

Also I forgot to add that the card with this firmware won't take the unlock code in Mobile Partner software. You can type it, press OK, but nothing happens and the code field remains highlighted.

Yup, google turns out nothing.

But I know for a fact that unlocking it is possible, as I have seen a unlocked one (branded with Vodafone colours).

P.S. The current firmware that I have and that doesn't allow unlocking is the one working in the WRT54G3G Linksys router. I just said that if someone needs it, I could save it if I'm told how to do it.

Topic can be closed. I found locally a guy who had another firmware, paid him some $ and now it's unlocked.
