HUAWEI E5830 Unlock *HERE*

Instructions:

Download any (old) version of QMAT.

Select the Application port of the E5830.

To test if you got the right port, send the "00" version command.

You should receive:

00 4A 61 6E 20 20 35 20 32 30 31 30 31 35 3A 31 
38 3A 30 35 4A 75 6E 20 31 32 20 32 30 30 39 30 
35 3A 30 30 3A 30 30 53 4E 43 41 41 4C 5A 4D 00

Then select: Read EFS and flag "Alternative Method".

Click "Let's go".

Note:
If anybody knows how the "alternative method" works I can make an all in one program.

No need for flash code. You can flash any firmware on it.

And YES, the code works. Use the virgin tool to enter it.

I used the original SIM inside the e5830 when entered my code but maybe any sim will do or even without.

About the sim card, I did unlocking with a vodafone card rather than the original one, but I think as long as you've got a channel to input the unlock code, the sim card question doesn't bother at all.

Now, i quite expect that you can make a little programme to properly sort out the naughty e5830. don't forget to send me one, ... Thanks again, my friend!

Unfortunately, once it's unlocked I found no way to relock it.
So i can't test my program.

If anyone knows how to relock huawei/this card, let me know!

lol, you don't need to relock it, haha~, I maybe would like to use my another forthcoming e5830 for the programme test, but just a question: how sure are you that it won't turn to a brick? If it failed to unlock, it doesn't bother at all, but if.... then that's pretty frustrating to me
