Member: 46846 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Nokia 6610 *PLEASE HELP* It was given to me by a friend who legitimatley found it at his house after a party. As soon he found it he kept for a while and then tried his sim card in it after his own phone packed up. After switching it on he found that he could no longer call out from it as it displays the message "note: active call barrings" and a friendly voice replies to contact your service provider. A friend of mine who works for Optus World told me he could get it sent away and get new software installed. But I got it back with the same problem. I am told that I should just chuck it away and get a new one. He did tell me that the previous owner was a Telstra customer and it has obviously been reported stolen or lost. And there is no way to un-barr the damn thing. I have put a little time into finding out more on this matter but with the little infomation I know about mobiles phones I am well and truly stumped! I am currently on a pre-paid Optus plan and I am not sure if this could be a problem. below are the deatils I have so far as far as the numbers go. IMEI: 350894301430387 Software version: 4.18 07-12-02 NHL-4U 505 01 I don't know if this helps!!! If there is a solution without flashing, please a give fairly detailed infomation and a step by step process. But any help on this matter would be much appreciated.... |
