Won't this reset your IMEI to 447967-89-400044-0 and cause problems to register phone with a provider with this IMEI ?

I got mine unlocked with this method.
But you need to have the code for your phone from the provider.

For example, i tried mine like this and it worked 100%.

> Insert SIM that is Accepted (rogers SIM)
Enter #7465625*638*unlock code#

my unlock code were this ( 89028500 ) it might not work for you.

I tried that code on samsung j706, and i think it might work for other samsungs.

I can assure you that the *2767*3855# will change yor IMEI and is not a solution. You will have problem to get the phone registred with the provider. Also this is a temporary unlock that erase all data on the phone. If you close the phone you will have to redo it and lose all data again...

Don't do it. It will reset your IMEI number and you will have problem registering your phone with the provider.
