Is there a way to unlock the BROWSER (Internet) on a NOKIA 8390? This is an unlocked phone, and the browser stuff from the Nokia site (and a text msg was received with the settings, and saved).. but according to the provider, the GPRS internet won't work if it was previously with AT&T (which it was). Why is that? Is there a way around it?

Is there a way of doing this? Even WITH a cable? What software would I use/ how hard is it to do?

you need 2 get the internet settings off the network u are using at the moment, i had the same problem when i unlocked my gx10i and put in an o2 sim card, i rang them up and they gave me the internet settings that i needed

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I called up the company and they redirected me to Nokia's website where I downloaded my cell phone company's specific settings. HOWEVER, I was told that if this phone was previously on AT&T (which it was), that the internet would not work with them. (I guess it's locked to AT&T once it's used ONCE with AT&T?)

So, that's why I want to know what I need to do to unlock the browser on this phone...

I recently purchased a data cable, so if that's what I need, I just need to know what software to use/ what to do.
