Unlocking Canadian Networks - GSM-Forum

hi there,
does anyone have experience with unlocking Nokia phones running on canadian networks?

i was told that calculated codes for DCT-4 phones, never seem to work in unlocking Nokias in Canada .. specially the so called "[GLOW=teal]Fido[/GLOW]" Network

can anybody confirm that so i can stop wasting my time on codes and go for a cable solution?

True, the calculators not support Fido.

From what I've also heard, you can't remote-unlock FIDO's nokia phones

However, you can remote-unlock Rogers AT&T's nokia phones! I've done this to several 8390s from Rogers.

I can generate correct codes for Fido on the 6340, 7210 and 8390.

DON'T waste your money for the code!!!

Buy a serial datacable (no usb) and read out configkey with bwinlock from www.b-phreaks.co.uk

Please post this code here. As FIDO DON'T use the standard one 30237 this unknown config key is the only secret with DCT-4 phones from FIDO!!!

If you have already bought a code and used it successfully, please drop me a private message with IMEI and used codes.

I will post then the config key FREE for all. Thanks in advance!

I also think that the free calculator doesn´t support Fido phones.

I´ve scanned all possible combinations in the ranges 00000-99999 and 000000-999999, but no match within those ranges.

Maybe codes are somehow altered or networkcode is not 5-digits or algorithm is simply another...I don´t know.

why should nokia change algorithm for 1!!! operator only? - even new 7250i could be unlocked with the calculators

thats similar to the problem with att 3650, the only secret was 24407

Yes, I found the code 24407 with my program. But with fido it´s an other thing. I didn´t find any match.
As I said in previous topic it might be that the codes are only altered or anything else.
