you have to use google for this

example:
I9500XXUEMJ8_I9500OJVEMJ8_I9500XXUEMJ8_HOME.tar
if you have this version and you wanna know the android version of this file
just copy 1st part of name "I9500XXUEMJ8" and search in google
you will get your answer

It is really a good way

But

Is there any other way so that we can understand the version of firmware by just watching the firmware?

Some day ago

I read a post that helps us to understand the firmware version


Like
I9500= model

0X=?
UE=? etc

I have forgotten matter,

Please Could you help me about this matter?

Also, you can go to sammobile .com in the device search, instead of putting the model (ex: i9500) you put XXUEMJ8 from I9500XXUEMJ8.
It may show you other models but it will show you your wanted model, the version and release date.

> move mouse on XME you will get which region easy:

XME = Malaysia
