Member: 2101701 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | i9300 imei change semi success [ANSWERED] I've written the original imei to my s3, after writing it I can make calls and receive sms (the imei still is 0049.. thoug ), if I reboot the phone the imei will be the same (0049..) but I won't be able to get signal again. It happens to no matter which rom I'm using, it "success" writing the imei, it returns to 0049.. once it reboots. If I try to read the imei once it's changed (and working) it will stop working, doing a backup does the same (it's 0049.. so no interest). Scanning devices ... 1 found dev[1] Manufactory: SAMSUNG Model: GT-I9300 Hardware: SMDK4X12 Mode: normal Prepare environment ... Bypass MSL ... Detect new security ... Backup EFS ... (...) ok Update device ... Reboot device to NORMAL mode ... Wait device ready ... Connect to device ... Device Authentication ... Writing IMEI ... ok, You need reboot device Time used : 2 min 43 s |

Member: 2101701 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Not succeded at all, I've done fullflash and device is not detected by dongle with UART cable. I went back to the ROM I had (cyanogenmod) and was able to change the imei and get back to the same situation (if restart lose connection) |
