new BST dongle not working [ANSWERED] - GSM-Forum

I just purchased BST, I downloaded and installed 3.24 and 3.24.01_Update and installed them on Windows 8.1. I plugged the dongle in and Windows recognized it and the light on the dongle came on. I ran BST and it recognized the dongle and asked if I wanted to upgrade firmware. I said yes but during the upgrade it said it failed, then the light on the dongle went off. When I unplugged the dongle, it was very hot. Now, the dongle seems to not be working. When I plug it in, it gets very hot, the light does not come on, and the computer does not see it. I have tried 3 computers, but I think it is just that the dongle stopped working.
