USB Device Not Recognized, leads to "Unknown Device" - GSM-Forum

I plugged in the dongle and got a message USB device not recognized, I unplugged and plugged it back in about 3 times before the dongle was recognized and BST said I needed to update the firmware. My wireless connection was 1.0MB, there was zero progress in BST progress bar and networx showed zero network traffic so I clicked exit. I ran BST Launcher again and now it doesn't work at all. The light comes on but device manager keeps saying "Unknown device". Windows & reports "code 43" in device manager. I'm Using Windows XP and Windows with the same result. I didn't even have this for 2 months before it no longer works?

Can this issue be fixed or does the device needs to be replaced?

I only used this on two test phones and it only did one operation on one of those phones. How can this be fixed?

It's definitely not a driver issue. Do you have a link to the capacitor i need to order?

Whats the specific model of the capacitor i need to replace? It's not identifiable at all. shoddy hardware that didnt even last light usage. so i'm hoping to get a part thats reliable.
