Root j327P

USB Debbugging and OEM Unlock

1. "AP" and select the file "twrp_3.1.0-1_j327p_14317.tar" in the RECOVERY folder.
2. Important this: make sure that ONLY the box F. Reset Time is selected and nothing else in the "Options" tab
3. Click on Start and wait for the process to finish.
4. Once you say PASS in a green box, disconnect the phone.
5. Send the file "SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip" that is inside the SUPERSU folder to an SD card and connect it to the mobile.
6. Remove the battery, replace it and start the Recovery mode (Volume plus + Home + Power)
7. Once in Recovery, select the "Install" box
and then the box "Select storage" choose "Micro SD card" and then choose the file from the SUPERSU folder that we sent to the SD card.
8. When finished click "Restart system."

Sorry I already rooted the phone but stil fails..Im guessing its the security patch level.

Sorry, I have Already rooted it via twrp and stil fail...I already tried flashing other other earlier firmwares to it via odin but it does not accept the other firmwares...I have unlocked SM-J327P Security Patch Level 2017-02-01... But this SM-J327P I have Now is Security Patch: 2017-08-01 and is the one that keeps failing. ...Please help is there any other methods???

yes you are right, it does not work. I believe we have to wait for new updates from Chimera and other unlockers to make it possible.

I have tried root, downgrade which as you said does not work. This update does not allow downgrade, at least I could not do that.

It will just be a wastage of time as I spent whole day trying to unlock them b ut in vain.

Only one unlocking is June 2017 version without any problem.

I will request chimera team to work on this security patch and help. So many peope are waiting for that.

Managed to flash J327PVPU4ARG2 as OTA update was blocking provided FW via Chimera.

The u3 and u4 versions are not supported yet. Currently the Chimera tool can handle the u1 version! Of course that will be updated , but for that fix we will need a little time. Thank you for your understanding.
