To make the phone Factory Unlock the chimera software tool makes you root the phone if it does not.
In my case the phone was already root, but if it is necessary.

for factory unlock chimera tool doesnt need anything like root etc
just power on fone insert usb cable . wait till all drivers installed then do factory unlock .. thats it

Wrong need Root. Bcs when u useing USB cable u need to root the phone or sw will root by it self. To by pass the msl need root. But with Uart no need root.. So it means very soon somebody gonna release the update soon with activation may be octopus or z3x. Let's see who win the Race.

If the phone does not have Root, Chimera software does make it because it is then necessary to root the phone then unlock chimera.
Chimera does the root prior to unlocking.

yes now you need to root it, but in a future we plan and another solution, with it you can not use another root function.
