GCpro Key


Good day,
I purchased a GCpro Key and received it yesterday 2nd February. I have plugged the USB drive into my PC and drivers are not found so I downloaded the JMicron Smart Card Reader 1.7.16.0.1 from your download area and loaded them. The drivers report unsuccessful installation and the key will not go active. I have removed all software off my PC that might use extra com ports and/or the USB ports and have rebooted. The key still does not work. It has a piece of tape on the top with the number 2039 on it.

Any advise on how to get this working?

Thank you for the feedback.
I have tried downloading the files. The GCpro Update is reported as malicious by Mediafire and is blocked.

Hello
You can choose other download link, there is no virus in application but packer detect as false warning.

Ok,
I have downloaded the program and have run registration. The card will not register reporting "card is not allowed to update contact reseller".

I am not a very happy camper.
Still unable to get the GCpro Key to register and little to no assistance of any value. I have tried contacting Faisal_Computer as well with no response. After having spent $159.00 + shipping i would have at least had a reasonable expectation of some documentation being included with the product. If you are unwilling/unable to provide assistance in getting your product to work properly i will send it back to you with the expectation of a full and immediate refund.

It will be solved in few hrs.

I don't know why u unhappy even before using tool. activation process is for safety of your and delivery system by reseller so dongle can't get active unless everything is confirm and verify.

All helpfiles in side updatexx\helpfile folder,what else documents you think we can improve?

First off,
I work in the Marine Electronics industry as a field service engineer and now manager of an international marine service department. So I am not speaking from inexperience of a lack of knowledge of electronics, software, or customer service.

Any equipment sold should be accompanied by the requisite software required to install and/or operate the device. Additionally there should be documentation, with the device, that provides come clear, concise, yet basic instructions as to how to set up and use the device.

Even the most simple interfaces we provide to interface gyros, radars, SatComs, ECDIS... have this documentation. It need not be an elaborate manual but a small paper leaflet which contains the information necessary for the end user to be able to set up and use the device.

Thank you for activating the key.
I find, now, that the GCpro Key may not be what is needed to repair the DRK.
I get to a certain point and it tells me that I need to connect a particular cable and re-write the DRK in the UART mode. Is this correct? Is there yet another device that is needed to repair the DRK?

Yes you have to connect UART cable in a UART Mode and press a button, not sure what's so hard about it? or what seems to be the problem? Takes about 15 - 20 seconds. If you are having any issue please explain...

Good day,
The problem is not in the difficulty in what i need to accomplish the task. I have a GCpro Key which does not have an ethernet port to allow connection of a cable between itself and the phone. It would appear that i need something like an Octobox for this. Is that correct or will the GCpro Key do what is needed?
