@fozz18
Hello
Did you boot in recovery and confirm csc is now XAS ?
Now boot in system and check for apn if still not there ##786# RESET should bring it.

As you said its worked once so there is no issue in our solution.. must be you skip or missed some part . i advice you to re do it.

Set csc to XAS
reboot to recovery confirm its XAS applying.
reboot to system check apn if not there use ##786# reset enter msl/spc
should work 100% if not something broken in your phone reflash may help.

should it say

# manual mode #
-- applying multi-csc...
applied the csc-code : XAS
successfully applied multi-CSC.

if so that part is successful, I've re-flashed the phone (stock 5.1) read msl, reset ##RTN# , re-unlocked the phone, read uart successful, and applied the "AT+PRECONFG=2,XAS" command. still no dice. I'm working on 6 X sm-n920p, 3 X sm-g925p, 3 X sm-g920p, 3 X sm-g930p, and 1 X sm-g935p. all having the same issue. your method worked on 4 sm-g920p previously but thats it. Any other solutions?

ok so i'm sure this will help someone
after doing the procedure recommended by stanner you will still see unable to view the access point name settings, access is restricted for the current user profile.

just click add and input the info anyway and it will take. the message will still be there but will not stop you.

never said that, their is a message that says access is restricted for the current user profile where the apn's are. that is the problem I was trying to correct. I understand that you need to enter apn settings manually.
