Unlock/Relock Bootloader:
Extract stock Recovery
Extract stock Recovery from OTA
Root
** If you keep CWM and you don’t reflash stock recovery you could not install any OTA. |

Member: 813309 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1,912 | Full Restoration to Stock ROM 1. Download latest Official Full ROM from EMUI's site (L02, L12), HuaweiUpdateExtractor and adb. 2. Unzip ROM and open UPDATE.APP with HuaweiUpdateExtractor. 3. Extract SYSTEM.img and RECOVERY.img (delete .header files that HuaweiUpdateExtractor generates you need only .img files) and put them in adb folder. 4. Boot in fastboot and conect to PC. 5. Open cmd.exe from adb folder and type (or copy-paste) the follow commands one by one: Code: fastboot devices Code: fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img Code: fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img 7. Detach USB cable from phone, turn it off and boot it up with holding all 3 buttons (POWER, VOLUM UP, VOLUME DOWN) untill you see EMUI installation Screen. This is a full restoration method that means that will lost data, root etc. You can skip steps 6 and 7 and do local update, instead of 3btns installation, after step 5 so you will not lose data. |

Member: 712525 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I have H60-L12 bloked on logo,i tried to install the original firmware using adb shell and dd. Unluckily the phone doesn't boot normally after the reboot. Pressing the power button for a while lets the phone vibrate ones and appear logo but nothing else happens. Pressing 3 buttons lets the phone come up with the honor-logo, but nothing more. Pressing power + vol- and connected usb cable lets the phone come up with fastboot. When the phone is in fastboot mode my computer recognizes it as "Android Phone - Android Sooner Single ADB Interface", but ADB doesn't show any devices. Fastboot works fine and is Unlocked. Hisuite doesn`t recognize device...search drivers but nothing happens. Unbricking the phone using fastboot (flash boot, cust, recovery and system) doesn't change anything. Flashing the stock recovery, using a sd-card with dload folder and firmware and booting the phone with any button combination doesn't change anything (no installer, no recovery). Flashing CWM and booting the phone with any button combination doesn't change anything (no recovery). ADB doesn't show a device at any other point of booting Any solution ? |

Member: 2496133 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Back to Stock Recovery but keeping Root? I rooted my Honor 6 (H60-L04, EMUI 3.1) with the Multitool using TWRP and SuperSU. It was so simply and easy! Great Tool! But now I am trying to understand the details of what I did in order to be prepared for future Huawei firmware updates. Are my following assumptions correct? 1. TWRP is only required to install SuperSU? But it is not required to keep root afterwards? 2. Before future Huawei firmware updates installations (OTA or local) stock recovery is required? 3. If I go back to stock recovery after gaining root access (without installing stock ROM) I will not loose root access nor will I loose all my apps and data? (Yeah I know nothing is guaranteed but what do you expect?) 4. If 3. is true: With stock recovery and still having root access I can install next EMUI version (at least local installation) but I will loose root? FYI: I have removed some of the Huawei / Google bloatware. 5. I am fine with EMUI and I do not want to install any custom ROM. So is there any advantage of keeping TWRP receovery if it is not required for keeping root? I really hope somebody can clue me in on this rooting and future firmware update thing. Thany in advance! |
