1.Windows XP: Goto C:/Doc*u*ments and Settings/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPod Software Updates 0r iPad Software Updates
(delete ipsw file in this folder )

2.Windows 7: Goto C:/Users/Your Username/App Data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPod Software Updates 0r iPad Software Updates (delete ipsw file in this folder )

After you deleted ipsw file from Software Update folder already:

1. Re-download the IPSW file from Apple server or Apple site

2. Now, try to restore the downloaded IPSW file from your iTunes. again

All done

I hope this article can help you

Check this solution is simple and easy. you just need to delete the previously downloaded update / upgrade file (iOS firmware file with .ipsw file extension). To resolve the error follow these steps:

Close iTunes on your Mac or Windows PC / Laptop
Delete the ipsw file download previously. The downloaded ipsw file is located at following locations depending upon your computer OS. For iPhone
