Nothing change after writing nvram. Always unknown baseband. Mine is CN version k52e78 converted to international. And cm2 make a bad backup so cant restore back even nvram backup size was wrong.

I think those models have different radio (baseband).
Return it back to CN model, see if imei / network comes back.

Problem solved.
Flash phone with format all+download with spflash tool v5.1552.00. Power on the phone then u will get ur baseband back.
For imei repair, use SN Writer V1.1632.00 and choose Target Type 'Smart Phone With C2k' witch is only available in this version, in system config check imei in write option, imei checkSum and dual imei in imei option, and check Load Modem DB friom DUT, then choose db file witch come with flash file. Then do repair.

Wifi nvram warning can be repaired with SN Writer just by repairing mac adress (put original mac adress if u know it or annything.


About nvram restoring, only spflash tool v5.1548 is able to restore but nothing change, it seem fake restore.
Other spflash tool version give BROM ERROR : STATUS_SEC_IMG_TYPE_MISMATCH (0xC002002A) or other code.

Note:
- if u flash ur phone with spflash tool v5.1548 u will not get baseband if ur phone is formatted and other version will give error.

Now all is ok. And phone is fully working.

But i need to find a way for nvram restore. Even if spflash tool v5.1548 give succes why imei not change to nvram imei and nvram warning in wifi not disappear.
When im always repairing by this way.

Do u know if nvram have relation with battry calibration, bacause now the only problem is battry drain very fast. I mean 4.3v is 100% after about 40mn drain to 1% and battery voltage is 4.13v when nominal voltage is 3.82v and limited charge voltage is 4.4v for k5 note battery. And im sure this problem happen after playing with phone for this i insist to write nvram.

If anyone have working a7020a48 and have nck can read nvram backup. It can read map+dat file zipped witch can be restored with SP META Tool or nck.

I played with A7020a48 ROW, formatted, flashed, repaired imei, wifi, bt,
then I read nvram, erased nvram, imei was gone and nvram warning appeared,
because of loss of wifi/bt missing, restored back nvram, all returned.
I didn't notice any battery problems. Played with that phone for 2 days.
That was some sample phone, very little used.

I even saved info for nvram and software version :

"NVRAM from working phone, phone version : A7020a48_LL_S125_160419_ROW , Lollipop 5.1"

and ... I also noted full process in some txt file

- EraseNVRAM area, via SPFT, use attached scatter file,
- Manual Format - Validation - start addr: 0xd780000 , length : 0x500000
- Reflash Stock firmware with checked USB + Storage checksum
- Select option "Firmware Update" from SPFT
- Let the phone power on for the first time fully, imei will be Unknown
- Now, either use fully imei restore with MauiMeta/SPMeta + SNWriter Tool,
or try writing provided NVRAM
- If imei doesnt get back after writing nvram, or is wrong imei, proceed with MauiMeta
- Databases are included in archive. Correct database for imei is MDDB.META_MT6755_S00_K52_ROW_V40_1_ulwctg_n.EDB
- Start MauiMeta, select USB VCOM, connect powered off phone, wait to enter meta-mode,
go to NVRAM option, load nvram database, insert original imei, for sim1+sim2, press "download to nvram"
- After fixing imei, use SNWriter tool, to write Barcode, Wifi, BT address.

Thats all. Have a nice day.

I cant know for sure what is with your phone ... but, been there - seen it all.
Take a try with this flash version.

p.s. I used SPFT from ROM/firmware archive, as I always do.
And... I probably used SWSEC DA Agent ...

I try CN and international version android 5.1 and 6.0 all are ok and baseband also if u flash with spft v5.1552.00 witch come with A7020a48_LL_S125_160419_ROW. Even if phone full erased. U need to repair imei and wifi with SN Writer V1.1632.00 and choose Target Type 'Smart Phone With C2k'. MD and AP datadase file come with firmware.

About battery problem seem another thing. I will check battery etc...

I am also facing unknown baseband problem with A7020a48 Android 6 version tried many times with SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1548.00.000 version with format+download no luck still unknown base band please your flash tool and tricks.

There are TWO types of this device (Lenovo Vibe K5 Note) :

- Normal, ROW Version - A7020a48 , latest version :
* A7020a48_S318_161128_ROW

- Chinese version - conversion ROM, K52e78 :
* K52e78_china_to_A7020_S318 , Android 6.0
* K52e78_china_to_A7020_S125 , Android 5.1


TO BE SURE not to break device - DO NOT flash preloader !

AFTER flashing Chinese version with some of above 2 flashes,
write (via Memory Write) attached NVRAM and NVDATA.
Addresses: NVDATA - 0x4bc8000 ; NVRAM - 0xd780000

Test, post results.
