1. MAKE FULL backup of your device via SPFT or some BOX.

1.1 Try reflashing your phone, to ROW version - PB2-650M_S038_170228_ROW
archive pass: lenovo-forums.ru

If that works, you can continue - if not - do not proceed,
just return backup that you already made.

2. Unlock bootloader :
- enable developer menu / USB Debugging from phone settings
- with pc/usb cable, and adb, open cmd prompt, type :

adb reboot bootloader (enter), wait for reboot
fastboot oem unlock (enter), confirm unlock on phone
fastboot reboot (enter)

3. Flash boot.img with disabled security/encryption, from included archive

4. Flash TWRP recovery via bat file, from included archive,
and after flashing, install latest Super User binary from HERE (ZIP - Recovery flashable)

TWRP + BOOT with disabled security/encryption

As final precaution - be extremely carefull what you do with your phone.
If you, in any moment see the process as too complex and risky - simply don't do it.
Also - no one will take risks if you brick your phone.

BRKA Hmm, thnx 4 reply, since yr msg tried everything but ...... Everything was difficult 4 me. 1: full system backup, never happened. Phone is working nice. But was looking to root it. Wait now u will think this guy is a noob i have successfully rooted all my phone, tab untill now, this time i failed, one more hurdle is there, above my building there is one private wifi company cable, router ,i hacked this signal with phab 2, now ihave great WiFi reception free, if i will flash, root this phone i will lose connection because i don't know password tried every app to know password but couldn't get that. And funny thing is except this phone other phones can't connect to that WiFi signal. So i gave up. Btw thanks 4 reply again.

There is software for reading stored wifi passwords, but, only via root.

If you are on S038 version ... well, surprise : Google should remember your password.
Since your WiFi mac address will not change after flashing, or root,
(if they locked access via mac also - probably they did)
you should rely on that "feature".

Also ... you can make readback of userdata and cache partition,
and try write it via SPFT after unlocking bootloader,
there is also a chance, that it will work (phone should get back to previous state),
but if I remember well - userdata on newer androids is crypted via random key,
generated on first bootup.
So ... it's a 50/50% chance ...

Best chance is google's wifi passwords remember

Unfortunatly, no yet any other rooting method for that device,
without unlocking bootloader, and flashing modified files,
since bootchain have image/system vailidty checking ...
It is bypassed only via flashing modified boot.img ....

Download root package with instructions inside.

You will need adb drivers installed first.

Unlock bootloader from fastboot, fully start the phone.
Then flash boot, fully start the phone, copy supersu to internal memory
Flash recovery, install supersu

If, for some reason, you scr3w up phone or want to return to stock,
flash with stock rom : A2016b30_S163_160906_8G_LATAM
firmware password: lenovo-forums.ru
