You can directly upgrade it, just read this thread from beginning
and use posted firmwares.

when flashing choose xml file "rawprogram_unsparse_UPGRADE".

What you don't find ? Use ANY of the posted firmwares,
it's OLD QUALCOMM phone, version doesn't matter.

Posts #2, #6, #12, #15 ... read, download, flash.
