!!! About error: NOT_FIND_SMART_IO read here!!!

Dear customers,

Please care CAREFULLY about NOT_FIND_SMART_IO error:

Reason 1: Most probable reason, you need to repair filesystem:
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f961...t-etc-1964648/

Reason 2: Your flex is damaged. Even if your clip is detected on PC.
Click here to see how to replace flex: http://xtc2.net/downloads/replace_flex.jpg

Reason 3: RARE - your clip has hardware damage, usually you can try to resolder EEPROM chip. However, please confirm with your dealer first, if your clip is on warranty, he can replace it.

Reason 4: VERY RARE - your PC has virus, which removes all files from the clip and/or any attached USB flash drive. But in this case, usually, you can't even use XTC 2 Client on PC. Solution: use anti-virus and clean your PC. Once done, repair filesystem of the clip.

I have bought 3 Power Adapters recently.
Unfortunately I cannot use their capabilities.

I am sending a log.

Phone connection confirmed!
HTC KEY CARD VERSION: 7
2. Checking Server connectivity...
Server connection confirmed!
3. Checking PowerAdapter connectivity...
Process started
PowerAdapter connected, processing request to adapter...
Starting operation...
Sending oem writesecureflag 0
... (bootloader) HTC KEY CARD VERSION: 7
FAILPERMISSION DENY (NOT_FIND_SMART_IO)
FAILED (remote: PERMISSION DENY (NOT_FIND_SMART_IO))
Execution time is 15(ms)
Warning! Your phone does not see the XTC 2 Clip, please try to reconnect it, and then reboot to download/fastboot mode. In case of failure again, check your flex cable for damage.

Releasing adapter.
Request completed

Could you help me, please!

Hi.

I have the same problem as above but only with HTC 10 during S-OFF.
I tried with Desire 530 and it worked fine.
I've replaced flex and reformatted dongle but still the same issue:

Hello,

It's a problem of how you connect the clip to the phone, or clip filesystem problem.
Unforutnately I can't help a lot on this case, if your flex is new and FS is reformatted, then I can only suggest to carefully connect the clip to SD slot of your phone.

Yes, I have brand new flexis, reformatted clip and I use SD card tray to connect it to the phone. it is impossible to position flex properly inside the phone without SD card tray or I am just impatient but I tried many times and gave up. This is demo device - old method does not work as OEM unlocking option is grayed out and I can't unlock bootloader. Any other options to try?

I've tried 3 brand new flexis. Still the same issue. And they work fine with PC and Desire 530. That's the main problem - I think it's related to either HTC 10 itself or demo mode on this device.

No it's related that some device have Sd Card slot more large and other where Flexy folds and isn't detected.

But it works fine with other devices like Desire 530 and PC. It looks more like Flex issue as log says that phone does not see XTC clip. Or maybe just because it is demo device. Unfortunately I don't have any regular HTC 10 which is not demo to try.

The same problem. Phone does not see the XTC2Clip with Power Adapter in.

If I connect XTC2CLIP (with white smart card) to a micro sd card reader and then to PC I see in XTC 2 Client 1.3 window that everything is all right. When replace the white smart card with Power Adapter I see a message "HTC
2 Clip is not found!".

Pozdrawiam nhm. Wychodzi na to ze sprzedano nam nie do konca przygotowany produkt...

Hello nhm. This is due to the fact that this tool was sold to us not finished...

I have all drivers installed and - I repeat - it works with other models than HTC 10 (demo).
Did anybody manage to do S-Off on any HTC 10 using Power Adapter?

Wow really, you must be investigator, right? Who told you that you can use PowerAdaper with XTC 2 Client? Do you see it somewhere in the manual? And why do you try this at all? With same luck you can try to leave it in the kitchen and keep waiting on the sofa for the dinner to be prepared...sorry mate!
XTC 2 Clip must be detected by the phone even with NO smartcard and NO power adapter inside. In this case you will see an error but not "SD NOT MOUNTED".
