Press Power Button selecting HBOOT then have Fastboot mode and is impossible you not to see Sim Lock Menu.

Y CABLE AND CLIP MUST BE CONNECTED FIRST OF GET YOU PHONE IN "FASTBOOT MODE"

Read the "FAQ", you can do in "Direct Mode" or "Manual Mode".

It's one the very easy phone of manage.

Hello,

I can only suggest to do this:

or try another microSD reader.

Hi there,
I have a similar problem when trying to s-off my htc one x.
I connect the xtc 2 clip tool to the pc with sd reader and the htc one x in fastboot to pc via usb lead
I open up the xtc 2 clip software and go to sd method then click security off then save to drive
I then connect xtc 2 clip to y cable usb female port and htc one x to micro usb end of y cable and put the y cable in for power
I put htc one x into hboot mode and select simlock
and I get sim init failed! reboot?

Please help me I bought this tool and it s-offed my htc one m8 amazingly but I have a problem with my htc one x

Many thanks
-joseph

EDIT:
and when I press reboot after sim init failed it boots back to hboot and is stuck on:
HBOOT
