FAQ: Phone still locked after the unlock process - GSM-Forum

Dear customers,

If your phone was not unlocked after the unlock process with lock flag set to '0', then you need to lock with with known code, the procedure is as follows:

1. Read phone's IMEI
2. Create config.dat file with lock flag set to "1 - Locked" and leave the unlock code as '00000000' or set your own code which you will not forget.
3. Perform the offline unlock procedure using fastboot and simlock menu as usual (don't forget to attach clip).
4. Power on the phone with any simcard (not the one it's locked to) and enter unlock code (00000000 or any other code you have entered on step 2.)
5. Done, phone unlocked.

Known models that require "relock" procedure to be unlocked:

* Desire X
* Desire 300
* Desire 200
* One V
* One X
* Explorer

... maybe other models.

By reading the manual. Videos will be posted later.
Use XTC2Tool, if you don't know the basics no videos will help you.
Please read manual first.
