WHEN I CLICK FLASH FILE DOWNLOAD IT SHOWS ERROR "PLEASE SELECT YOUR CLIP DRIVE FIRST"

Please go to "SD mode editor" tab and select the clip drive.
But in your case it means that clip is not connected.

For downloading flash file need to connect clip to computer??

Yes, it's used for authorization. Once logged in, your session will be active for many days.
