In my case D820n - I think it's global issue with HTC bug. My customer do OTA, and after phone has been soft-bricked. HTC bootloop only. I was tryed all variants of ROM from support - on XTC 1.19 and 1.20. For me it's not possible that HTC destroyed something that could not be repaired and this is depend on time who gives solution (last some issues I have 12 years ago when global problem was in Motorola T720i and new solution for that was there MSS by Victor ;) Regarding Too many links and that "funny words" - phone doesn't know what happen itself :) These error broke my balls since few months when have other customer device. Now it has begin to be nightmare if support do nothing :( |

To information for everyone: All listed errors shows when try to jump between software versions too much. File you want to write must be close enough original one to can be flashed. Sometime S-Off can help, but not always. But there is a cure- so called firmware.zip. It's file stored on every OTA update. If You have OTA update with needed system version just open it, and unpack firmware.zip from OTA somewhere on disk. Then just flash it in RUU mode (S-Off needed if You want to jump much). As I notice there is no matter what system you have already, if you have needed firmware.zip just flash it (downgrade or upgrade, whatever) and then flash OTA or full software with similiar version (main version is important I think). My suggestion is to add to support server OTA updates or extracted firmware.zip for every today modells. About 2- 3 different firmwares for every modell should fix flashing problem for us. Also need latest firmware.zip or OTA for Desire 820 A51_UL, many phones died after update, I can't locate files anywhere. I have one working Desire 820, but I can't locate OTA update files on memory. Should be on Download folder, but it's nothing there. This is number of version: 3.17.401.3. Downgrade can't help here, always bootloop. |
