Member: 2416253 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4,163 | HTC 10 S-OFF instructions Here is a step-by-step manual how to S-OFF your HTC 10: 1. First step is to unlock bootloader: a) If bootloader unlock is turned off on your phone, you need to turn it on first: - Boot to Android OS and perform initial setup if necessary - Go to Menu -> Developer settings and tick "Enable OEM unlock" Run XTC 2 Tool and open "Bootloader unlock" tab, follow instructions to unlock your bootloader. 2. Reboot to download mode, open "HTC 10" tab and install twrp recovery, you can get it here: latest version: https://dl.twrp.me/pme/twrp-3.1.0-1-pme.img old version: https://dl.twrp.me/pme/twrp-3.0.2-5-pme.img or https://mega.nz/#!Oo9FRTYT!_i_7vF5aE...LclCm5u1wuLZng 3. Reboot to Bootloader, and press "Reboot to recovery". You should now see TWRP recovery menu. Android version 6.x: 4. In "HTC 10" tab press "Do S-OFF button". 5. Wait for the process to finish. Done. Android version 7.x 4. Download superSU: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/s...1612051815.zip 5. Copy the SuperSU zip file from the download link above to your device’s storage (microSD card). Insert microSD card into microSD slot of your phone. 6. Boot your device into TWRP recovery. 7 Tap on Install and select the SuperSU zip file that you transferred to your device in Step 1. 8. After selecting the .zip file, do Swipe to Confirm Flash on the bottom of screen to begin the flashing process. 9. Once SuperSU is flashed, you’ll get Reboot System option, select it. 10. Reboot to OS. Go to S-OFF tab and press "Do S-OFF" When superSU will ask for permissions - please allow it, otherwise the process will fail!!! Last edited by xtc2clip; 04-28-2017 at 16:14. |

Member: 2438140 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | I had the same issue. Rebooting did not fix it. I just left it sit in recovery and kept trying to s-off. Eventually it recognized the HTC 10 and did the s-off process. I think I left it sit about 5 minutes or so till is recognized the phone properly. |
