no need to power adapter just go to develper or enabled oem then write cwm recovery install super user then click s off

i wanted s-off htc u play so i flashed recovery from firs post and devices reboot to normal mode
but after reboot to recovery ( for flash supersu.zip file )
phone black screen and only vibrate and no inter any mode
pls hele

Search on ebay for another mainboard because no any other solution at this time. I have trouble like you. Look at post no.22.

The TWRP recovery provided in first post is for HTC U Ultra only, you made a mistake that flash incorrect TWRP recovery.

partial file for mtk phones includes scatter file that may help

I think partial firmware includes scatter file firmware that can repair mtk boot
Not in support at the moment may be supporter can help in this case
