Will the M9 unlock option sim unlock the tmobile m9 even though it has the new device unlock app and will not prompt for unlock code?

I haven't seen this phone yet, but it should be unlockable.
If the firmware does not support unlocking, you can change CID and reflash with generic firmware.

I can confirm the M9 T-Mobile version can be successfully unlocked using XTC2Clip. Thanks for reporting

The unlock procedure is same like for regular M9.

TMobile unlock app is just an interface, instead of "call operator, get code, enter code manually" it will do some request to their online service and in case it can be unlocked will unlock phone. So better use XTC2Clip
